Search and Rescue dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, is so excited that, after months of searching, her friends, Tiana and Levi, have finally found a house. Once everything is packed up, Tiana hires movers to move everything the short distance between her apartment and their new house… but the movers never arrive at the house.

Eve, Tiana, Aidan, and Levi go looking for them and discover the moving truck abandoned on the side of the road. One of the movers has been murdered and the other one is missing.

Though Tiana’s things have been rifled through, nothing was taken. Eve is worried her friend might be in danger and isn’t willing to wait for the police to solve the case.
